With an elopement you can literally chose wherever you want to go!!! You aren’t limited to a certain venue based on the number of guests you have ( Fun fact average wedding has about 200 people holy moly). With an elopement you can stand on a cliffside overlooking your favorite beach, or you could pack a bag and fly to Iceland. The options are endless.

2.) PRICE

Wowza this is a big one. Elopements are BY FAR way way cheaper than a traditional wedding. You could buy those plane tickets to Iceland, book your hotel, and pay for your photographer all for the price of your caterer and florist. Think about that for a second.

3.) Intimacy

With elopements you aren’t confined to a strict timeline with guests and vendors asking you questions and 9 bridesmaids running around looking for things. Elopements can just be you and your partner OR you can even bring a few people along. It can be as slow and intimate as you want or it can be as fun and adventurous as you want. You call the shots.

4.) The After Party

No one says you can’t have your cake and eat it to when it comes to the wedding planning business. You can have your intimate elopement and throw a huge party with your friends and family later to celebrate. Many times this is easier than a reception because it just has a laid back “we already got married so let’s just have some fun” feeling to it. You can rent out a restaurant or even just do a backyard BBQ. Your friends and family will just be excited to celebrate you.

5.) It’s your day

Last but not least, remember, it’s your day. So many traditional weddings get caught up around families intertwining, old friends meeting up, and the rush of trying to visit everyone in a small time frame. It’s easy to get lost in the stress of entertaining your guests that you kind of forget the fact that you just got married. The day goes by in the blink of an eye with so many people around. With an elopement your main focus is your partner, the beautiful location you chose, and soaking up all those fresh emotions.
